My mother had gone for her N400 interview today. The immigration officer stated that she had passed her civics questions, writing and verbal portion but unfortunately she answered "No" to one of the questions on the " H. Oath Requirements". The IO said he asked her if she understood the full oath of allegiance to the USA, and my mother could not answer that correctly. Based on that, he declined to approve her application and said she would be required to come back for a second interview to go over only those section of the N400.

Has any run into similar situation? She just got thrown off a little with this questions and she had went of the N400 but not as through as the IO officer would like to have.

Her interview was at the Denver office.

Does the next interviewing officer still go over the civics, written and spoken sections even if this officer said she had passed that?

How long does it take to get the second interview? He had indicated 60 days.

Thank you all

I heard a similar case but happened at the oath. An oath taker answered Yes on one question on N445 because he or the person who filled for him
did not notice those questions are meant for "since last interview". The USCIS IO at oath understtood that but when they tried to clear that up,
the person could not handle it so his oath was pulled because USCIS
thiought the eperson's English was not good.
