Hi, I completed my citizenship interview on June 4th, 2008 and passed the civic test. I was given an N-14 form basically i needed to submit copy of my birth certificate and some certified court disposition for traffic tickets. I sent these doucments in two separate mails before July 4th deadline as indicated in the N-14 continuance letter.

What can i expect now will happen? Should i expect an Oath Letter in the mail or may be a second interview? I dont know.

by the way my intervierw was at Mt. Laurel, NJ.

I know that they have till 120 days to make a decision on my case but i was hoping that it dosent take that long. My entire app took less then 3 months to come to the interview stage.

any similar experiences?.

P:S: the reason i had to submit my documents in two installments is that my court desposition from San Francisco didnt arrive in time and i had copies my tickets and recipt so i decided to send that first. Of course one week later i get the certificed papers from CA and decided to send them aswell.

This is one of those things that are unnerving, as the whole situation has a "black hole" feeling to it. You sent your mail to this "black hole" and don't know what is going to happen. I sympathize with you. However, I don't have experience on this, my best advice would be to wait for at least a month after you sent your documents and then if you haven't heard anything you might schedule an Infopass and try to get a confirmation that the documents were received (not sure if they will be able to find this information) or let you know what stage the application is. If it is not a very dysfunctional office you might get your oath letter soon. I don't think they will schedule a second interview unless there is something on the documents that warrant this, and it doesn't look like it.

Good luck.

I would recommend taking an InfoPass in several weeks to verify they have received both of your mailings - because, USCIS always makes it clear that they like to get everything from an RFE (request for further evidence) in one mailing and you sent it in two. This could present the possibility that only one package makes it to the IO's desk and he/she thinks you didn't submit everything.
