Interview @ New Orleans Office in May

I am planning for a trip to Brazil mid-June of this year.. my interview letter came this weekend and the interview is scheduled for May 19.

A couple of questions:
1) Does anyone know if you do the interview & the oath on the same day at the New Orleans office?
2) I read in several threads that I've the option to postpone the interview - does anyone know how long it will be to get another interview schedule? If it is only a couple of months, I'm okay rescheduling, but if it is longer than that I am going to cancel the vacation.
3) If I go to the interview May 19th and the oath is offered - does anyone know if I can get a passport at this time - or do I just file an application?
4) I was thinking that my other option is to go for the interview and then reschedule the oath until after the vacation...since it seems that I won't be able to get a passport on time.

I know that is a personal decision to go or not to go...but I really want to go to Brazil.

Barbara,

I can answer this ques # 3 for you.

You can apply for the passport and get it back the same afternoon/evening. How far are you from Houston, TX ? If you can manage to drive up to Houston, there is a passport office there where you can get an expedite passport service for the same day. Make sure you have your confirmed tickets/itinerary to Brazil with you, otherwise they would not entertain you.
