Wow...just few weeks ago you were freaking out about not receiving FP letter soon after you sent N400 and now look at you - - proud receiver of IL in your hands. I guess some time being anaxious helps as well. Congratulations....in addition, can you send some of the Jacksonviller air towards Tampa as well? Let us know how does interview go?

Agree with Vlorak

It hasn't been that long like vlorak said. The usual time period for naturalization application is 9 months to a year. If u happen to get an IL by end of this month or July, you will be very lucky.

Sonny,
I sent my N400 on 04/22/08 and did FP on 05/15/08....I am not expecting to hear anything from USCIS until first week of August. Sometime I joke in this forum and tell people that I am going to get my IL by 05/05/08 but it is not going to happen - - you know it, I know it. But, hey, eventually we will have it. It is not stopping me from doing my job or travelling abroad or reentry so I am cool.

IL in Jacksonville

I mentioned in another thread. I also got the interview letter. Its scheduled for 07/02. My timeline:

Priority Date: 4/15/2008
FP done: 05/07/2008

So, as someone said, I think its faster at Jacksonville. Hopefully the IOs don't give excuses in approving us (like missing file, need another approval etc etc).

Just crossing my fingers and let you guys know once the interview is done.

I agree - seems like the Jacksonville DO has a lighter workload when compared to the Tampa or Miami DOs. This shouldn't be surprising as Jacksonville is in the north and might not have that large of an immigrant community. I mean think of the number of immigrants in the Tampa and Miami area?

My urgency is i applied I130 for my wife and daughter who are in india based on my Green card. Once i get my US Citizenship i can upgrade I130 and can bring them to US.
I was told even for a US Citizen the whole procedure of bringing spouse and kid from India take atleast 8 to 10 months..

Hence anxiously waiting for Citizenship interivew and Oath.. Otherwise i would not have been really bothered.
