I want to update the status of my application. My timeline is as follows:

Place: San Francisco, CA
PD: Feb 5, 2003
FP: April 10, 2003

Then nothing for 10 months. Repeated enquiries through the 800 number went unanswered.

I then wrote to one of our Senator in mid January. Her office called me in the first week of Feb and told me that the BCIS had lost my fingerprints. Received a new FP letter on Feb. 10th, fingerprints taken and cleared on the same day. (checked by calling the FBI).

Interview letter received: March 10, 2004
Interview: May 3, 2004 (Oakland, CA)

It seems that if your application falls through cracks, the BCIS will not do anything and will not admit anything. If you have been waiting longer than usual, get your congress rep. involved!

Many here have indicated that the online status disappears just before the interview letter. In my case, online staus is still saying blah, blah,... even though I have aready received the interview letter.

Suggestions from anyone who is going or has gone through the interview process?
