Hi all,
My family and I got scheduled for an Interview at the field office in San Francisco on November 14th. I myself have had a misdemeanor that the USCIS already knows about as it was filed in the paperwork when my dad applied for adjustment of status. Basically I was stupid when I was in high school and stole some stuff, got a petty theft case on me (when I was 18, 21 now). Since then, I got the conviction set aside and expunged at the court. I am employed at a pretty big company, go to college - etc etc etc.
The letter we have received requires me to bring all court documentaiton for ALL arrest cases, however I was never arrested by Police, I was only apprehended by the LP officers in the store. I did have to go to the station to get booked after my court appearance 3 years ago.
So what I am wondering now is where am I at. Will they deny me? Is the fact that this conviction is basically set aside and "sealed" clears me up? What should I do next?
Any information would be appriciated!
