Interview in Los Angeles

Hi, does anybody want to take a guess at how it takes to get scheduled for an interview in Los Angeles after you case is transfered to the L.A. office ( case transfered to L.A. office on 3/1/2001 per AVM )? Thanks

Hi INS,

I think it all depends on when you filed your I-485 with CSC. It is my understanding that Los Angeles District Office schedules interviews in the order of the receipt dates with CSC and not the transfer dates from CSC to L.A. Office. Los Angeles District Office is currently scheduling interviews for I-485 applicants whose receipt date is late 1998. Thus, if the receipt date is say October 2000, you may have to wait 2 years.

I hope I am wrong, but I guess this is how it works at Los Angeles Office.

Anyone else wants to give it a try : on Ciba\'s list there are only 6 or 7 intermiew listed/tracked in Los Angeles. Without being a pattern it seems as if people are scheduled somewhere around 6 months after the transfer date.
Has it improved lateley like all the rest of CSC processing?
Anybody knows how to inquire in order to know when you are going to be scheduled? any phone number? Direct line to LA office?
