GREAT NEWS.... I received my interview letter today...

Hard to believe from the day I applied to the day my interview is just 156 days, origionally I was thinking of doing it in PA where my wife is from because online it said NY takes for ever... but this is amazing!!! No RFE no problems...

New York has come a long way....

I'll now have to start posting all my questions relating to the interview, but first I'll do some reading here...

Good luck to everyone else! Chaim

Yeaahh!
I'm sending a Fedex envelope tomorrow with my I-130, I-485 and I-864.
I didn't apply for AP and EAD because I don't want to leave my job till Christmas (and I'm on H1-B) and I want to save myself $350.

I guess it was a good idea.

PS: Can you believe the only "paper" that I'm missing is the passport photo of my lazy wife??

I know several ppl, including myself, who filed for their gc (all marriage based to USC's) all through last year (March, May, Sept, Nov are few of the filing dates that I can remember off hand)

From what I've been observing is that, those who applied after middle of 2005 (about Sept onwards I'd say), are getting processed a lot faster now adays.

I guess the NYC DO is getting their act together- that's great news for everyone out here.

Good Luck.
