hi
i had interview on 5th of December which was thursday. It snowed on wednesday and me and my spouse thought of cancelling the interview on thursday since it was difficult to make it to the Baltimore office. But we made it somehow even though we barely escaped being skidded off the road.
We got there by 10.20 am when the interview was supposed to be held at 10.15.
We were called at 12.40 pm and we were ushered inside the office and asked to swear to tell the truth.
It was such a general interview. I thought it would be difficult but it was so easy. To everyone else, dont worry about your interview, but keep all the papers handy and arrange all the documents such that it you exactly know where its kept. You will be asked to submit as much of proof as possible to show that you and your couple live together and live as a couple under the same roof. I had made all the copies of all the documents that i deemed necessary even though it was not required.
The questions that i was asked were,
all the I-485 questions such as terrorist , illegal entry, helping someone to come in this country illegally, prostitution, communist party member.
The the lady asked me about the marriage, my address, where it was held, how many people came for the reception, asked where we met, how we met, what we did for the first date and on and on.
The she said that she wont approve me right away as she also needed the joint sponsership form filled. I guess it was 864A form. The officer said that I should fill it out and sent it by mail and she will then take the action on my application. She also took my I-94 card from my passport. I have mailed the form and hoping to hear the good news soon. The interview was very fine and the officer was very nice girl. I say girl cuz she was very very young. I think she just got trained and was very cheerful and wonderful.
I dont know what to make out of the whole interview right now. And also the officer said that I dont have to come again. So if i am approved, how do i get the greencard stamped in my passport. Or will she send the greencard by mail ? I dont have an answer to that. Maybe someone might have gone through this and knows the answer.
