Interview for employment based GC

This may seem to be a dumb question, but I keep seeing postings here regarding interview dates etc. My question ..Do all employment based I 485s have interview proir to approval of same?

Any input in this regard wil be highly appreciated..

Most EB I485 applicants do not get interviewed for approval.
But your case may be selected by service center to be transferred
to your local INS office for interview. Fingerprint problem, suspicion
concerning your application, and most commonly "randomness"
are some of the reasons that may trigger the local transfer. Depending
on your local INS office location, interview could take between 3 months
to 3 years.
