I was approved on the 25th of July DO: Newark.
AOS Based on Marriage to a USC, Came in with a B-2 visa.
We got there 8:45am interview appointment for 9:30.
We were called at 10:20am or so, more than expected.
I was very nervous. The examiner asked us to swear, we did that. He asked to see my previous passports. Asked my full name. Asked date of birth, and stuff like that.
Then he started asking me things about my wife, her job and her family. Asked date i came in the country, if i had left after that, date we got married. I gave him the wrong year of marriage wich was 2004 i said 2003 i dont know why the hell i was thinking 2003.
Then he asked my wife stuff about me and my family. about my job. asked my date of birth for her, stuff like that. Than asked again about the marriage where my wife said i dont know why he said 2003 because i'm sure it was 2004. I freaked out. haha. But the officer seemed to like it well i told him i was very nervous because it was a very important day of my life.
He asked for additional documents to prove that the marriage was true. I gave him the only two joint documents we had, joint account and utility bill. Gave him the pictures. He started laughing at them. hehe, i laughed also.
At that point he already knew my wife had kids he asked if they lived with us and if they call me dad since i'm not the father. i explained to him. He seemed happy and then the happiest moment of my life he said, i'm approving your case, you are going to receive a 10 year green card in 2-3 weeks since you've been married for more than 2 years. Asked if we had any questions, my wife joked that i would certainly remeber them after we leave.
That was it, the whole thing took us about 40 minutes. I made a mess on his desk with all the documents. hehe.
Thanks again for everybody.
