After 2,5 years finally (after Senator's, Ombudsman, and AILA requests ) I had my interview in Miami yesterday. I had one scheduled for 2005 July, but then they couldn't find my file so action could not been taken... I was TOTALLY prepared, originals-copies, two whole punched on the top (this is the way they file , so the officer doesn't need to do it).One file for originals one for identical for copies, on the front page a summary of contents. Some photos color copied, so I don't need to offer any from our album. The appointment was 7:30 but we got there earlier, so around 7 they called us in. the officer was a very jung (about 20-25) black lady. She started to match the originals with the documents in her file. Was not sure my Husban's divorce paper is good which we got as certified copy from the court) so she went and asked the supervisor, came back and it was OK. Than she opened my medical and missed the Xtray... We told her that my exam was negative therefore the physician didn't send me to have xtray... She asked many documents from the joint bank statements (we had at least 4-5) until photos. She asked my previous marriage, how I met my previous Husband which I thought was unimportant there, but gave proper answer. She asked employer letter and paystub from m Husband but didn't ask for our TAX. I was thinking maybe I should offer her since its very important but didn't want to be "bossy"... and give advise for a suppose-to-be professional... We spent there 1 hour and she was very disorganized and unprofessional. She wasn't sure of anything. we are married for 3 years and had thousands of joint documents. She was asking my last I-94 as a vsitor....even since than I left the country many times as advancead parole....We told her that they take your I-94 when you leave the country...She was surprised. At 8 she told us we will get the decision by mail. My Husband asked her the reason why we cannot get the approval there. She advised us she is a beginner (probably first day???) and NOT authorized to make any decision and need to bring all cases to her supervisor... I've felt dissapointed, because if I go to court and the judge who sits there not authorized to make decision dosn't make any sense to put her/him there... We were thinking for a sec to get her sign an attendance paper, but we decided not to. Asked her name and said good bye. I attended several intrview with my own clients and all of them were friendly and professional.I have several concern, when will I get the decision, can I get it with out the last TAX return, which she forgo to ask. Why they let interview anyone with out authorization to approve when that is the goal there.... But after the first madness I give myself one month to get the approval and if I won't I will try to go head and follow up. I wish for all of you good luck and if anyone has issues with log delays just ask me, I have experience how to solve (senators, ombudsman, AILA) those issues, gladly give my experience to you.

Same here:((.Same officer, same questions about my ex husband(whom I divorced 5 years ago!!!):(where is he,why you divorced him,do you still talk to him, etc.),and in the end same answer"I have to send the file to a supervisor and you'll get the answer in the mail in about a month."We couldnt belive it,I mean we've been married for almost 4 years, had tons of supporting evidence.Anyhow, this happened on 10th of March, and we havent heard anything since. We went there again after a month to ask about it but this time they told us it might take up to a year to hear back.So ,whats happening lately at the Miami office?!?! Where are all the officers that HAVE the right to approve the cases?!?!
