I had my interview on 22nd May, I got in at 8:00 am for my interview at 8:40 am. I was called in early by the Lady IO. First she asked me 10 simple civics questions, got all of them correct. I gave her the changes/updates to my application. Then she went over my application and asked how come my employer is from NC and I work in NY. I told her I work remotely from home. So she asked me for Employer letter which shows I work remotely from home. I just had a simple employer verification letter. Then I showed her a copy of ny state taxes filed (2006 & 2007 - hnr block arrange stuff pretty neat), paystubs with my ny address and gas / elecric bills for last 8 months. She asked me about my frequent trips to canada (I was nervous about this) mentioned I made short trips to visit my wife. Asked If I petitioned for her, told her it takes 5 yrs as a gc holder so I will petition once I become a citizen as its quicker. Later she went out to make copies and I was thinking in my mind If I get approved I should ask her when I should expect to recieve the oath letter and at what location would that be. Wow! she came back with the oath letter and told me it will take place June 26th at the buffalo naval base aboard the US ship :D. Thanked!! her a million. Now looking forward to being a US citizen and getting the passport.

That must be the USS LITTLE ROCK. That's pretty neat - I wonder if that is standard oath-taking location. Better than a grim courthouse!

Kelly from Buffalo

but that kind of sucks if you're in the army... :(

(just kidding! :D)

I think an oath ceremony aboard a naval vessel is really cool. :)

Kelley, you are the 2nd person I have come across from buffalo besides lightrain. I'm sure ur interview will be coming up soon too. I went yesterday to have a look at the naval ship USS little rock it was cool. I inquired at the meusem and was informed that they have the oath ceremony at the ship a couple of times a year.

Did you mention Canada trips on your N400 or the IO asked you because she knew about them?

I mentioned about them in the n-400. Also the IO tried to compare the passport stamps (dates) with N-400 and verified some of them (air trips to canada). Only Air trips to canada are stamped in passport and land trips are not. I mentioned to IO that only gc is swiped by border patrol officer for land trips to canada. I had little over 30 trips in the last 5 yrs, almost all my trips were over the last 2.5 years.
