I've completed my citizenship interview yesterday at Atlanta DO. The interview lasted about 15 minutes and was fairly uneventful. Here's the snapshot of what happened during the interview:

1) I went to the USCIS office in Atlanta about 90 minutes prior to interview time. My interview was scheduled at 10:05 AM.

2) Let in by guard after he checked interview letter and asked me to go to the 2nd floor. Up on reaching 2nd floor I handed over my interview letter to the rep sitting in the counter.

3) Around 10:00 AM, an African American lady IO came out and called for my name. She took me to her office room and introduced herself. Then she asked me to put PP, DL and GC on the table.

4) Then she asked me to raise my right hand and swear that I will say nothing but the truth.

5) She then went through my application. She randomly asked questions through the my application. I told her about the updates to the application as my address changed and had a citation before the interview.

6) She didn’t even asked me about SSS even though I've got me GC when I was 27.

7) After that she administered my civics test and asked me 10 questions. She asked all 10 even though I had the first 6 right.

a. What the 13 stripes on the US flag represents.
b. What is White house.
c. How many time a Senator and Congressman can be elected.
d. What holiday the pilgrims first celebrated.
e. What are the 13 original states.
f. What is the constitution
g. Who elects the President
i. What is the 49th state that joined the union.

didn’t remember the remaining questions........

8)Then she asked me to write as simple sentence in English "Today I'm going to the store".

9) She finally asked me to sign photographs and the application form. She asked me whether I'm willing to take oath at 02:00 PM, you all know what was my response. Then she asked me to sign the oath letter and write my address on the same.

10) She then congratulated me and handed me the N-652 form stating that I had passed and my application was recommended for approval.

12) She then escorted me out of her offices.

13) At 2:30 PM I took the oath and got the Certificate of Naturalization along with other 44 (45 including me) people from 22 different countries.

Wishing you all the best and good luck.

Congratulations!!

Wish all of us have similar experiences.

BTW, What is this citation you mentioned and what was her response?

It was about the stop sign overrun. IO didnt showed interest about the Court disposition letter.

congrats

NSV,

Congrats and thanks for detailed post.

Did she ask you anything about how long you stayed with the employer after you got your GC.

Thanks
