Interview Done - waiting result from additional information

I had my interview almost a month ago. Everything went fine, except that I forgot to provide one document (Birthcertificate in Native Language, which was required even though I had a valid English translation).
I was told that everything was fine, and that I should just submit that copy, which I did the same day. The officer said someone would look at the case the same week, and I should have my card in 2-3 weeks.

It's now been a month, and my status on the website has not changed, I haven't heard anything at all.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? I will call the "hotline" tomorrow, but doubt they know anything, and then I might have to get an infopass appointment, but that might not even help.

Any suggestions, or comments? THANK YOU!

I've heard of this problem, the thing is that you've been put in a hold file, which basically means when someone as time to look at your case they will. But, the USCIS is rather busy which means they hardly ever get to this at the office. I've heard of some stories of it taking over a year just to certify that they got a birth certifcate and could issue the GC. You should have filed everything correctly the first time.

I am in a similar situation. My wife and I had the interview on 4/20/06 and the officer contragulated us for passing the interview. She even said that we should go out and celebrate. The reason that we did not have our passport stamped is that they have not received the I-130 approval even though they knew the case was approved. The officer told us that she would request a case transfer and we should be expecting the green card in less than 2 months. If not, then we should contact her in two months.

Even though she was very friendly and nice, I did not put too much faith on the two month period she told us. Well, we will see if we will get the card by 6/20/06.
