Interview done but no approval

My Wife and I just have our interview last Friday in Philadelphia at 8:00. We were the first ones to get to the waiting room. The window was still close (we got there 15 minutes earlier). The fact that we were the only ones there made me a little nervous. At 8:00 they asked for the letter and about 5 minutes later our interviewer called us. He was a very nice guy asked where we met then made some question about my B2 visa and my i-94. I gave him the replacement since i had lost the original. Then he asked if i worked (which i did illegaly), but he didn't say anything about it. Then he asked if my wife worked and she said no, and he said she was my sponsor and that would be a problem, but i did have a co-sponsor fill up the papers for me and I handed them to our interviewer. He seemed pleased with it. Them he asked if we had some prove we lived together and I gave him some joint bills and health insurance. Then he asked if we had some bank account together and my wife said no because her credit is bad. After that he asked to see some of the pictures and we showed him our wedding album. He said the pictures were great. At the end he asked we could give him any 3 pictures of us together and we handed to him. He stapled everything with all the paperwork we had previously sent and stamped a bunch of things. That was it. He then shook our hands and said "good luck on your wedding". I don't know what to think. He didn't say anything about us being approved or not or anything else, but the whole interview was actually pleasing. Should I be worried? Did we do anything wrong?

I hope everything gets approved soon for you.

Can you tell me if you prepared a bunch of questions? Is there any list you have for all the things needed at interview. I have some time but better be prepared in advance..

Did you ask the officer about your name check? Is is done or pending? I think that is the most important factor on when you get your card.

Yes, we were prepared, but it was kinda of dissapointing. He didn't ask much at all. The only think we didn't have was the joint baking accounts, but that is due to the fact that my wife has bad credit and can't open one.

Our hole process was very quick:

June 12: sent all the forms, i-130, I-485, I-693,
June 22: official receipts
July:28: biometrics appointment
august 25: received the interview letter (october 6)
sept 15: received EAD
October 6: Interview done

The last time i checked online my 1-130 hadn't been approved yet. And my I-485 said: This case has been reopened in a USCI motion we will mail a decision as soon as processing is complete. (Reopened? i don't understand).

And, no I didn't ask the officer anything. I was afraind it wouldn't look right.
 
Not Sufficient Time

My lawyer said there should be ample time (2-3 Months) between fingerprinting and interview. Thats the approximate time they require to get all the security clearance. If you don't get all the clearances at the time of interview they cannot approve you.
 
Sound optimistic

One of my friends in west coast said the simiar thing of no right-away approval on site, but they finally got approved. I guess it might be about different response styles? By all means whish you luck!

We are in very similar shoes as yours but still in earlier stage. Can you share how long you got married after you landed in US? thanks
 
We got married at the end of march, but I came to the US in september 2000, with a B2 visa. As you can see I was completely out of status. Just receiving my EAD and being able to get a SS and DL was already a big step for me. Do you have a interview date yet? Where?

My interview is Nov 20. I have more than a month. I am not sure why I got such a late date. I blame it on my nationality. I have seen UK, Canada citizens getting through very easily...

Just an observation in this forum...

I don't think so.

In my company there's another italian guy, same visa, same employer, same timeline as me (his RD is 6 days before mine).
He got his interview some 50 days before me. He already has his green card, I still have to be interviewed.
 
We received a welcome letter on october 12 (it was dated of october 6). Well, now it has been amolst 3 weeks and no card. Im starting to think it got lost. Should a i call them or wait? The letter said to call in 3 weeks if i didn't receive the card
 
Ok, now I'm really getting worried. It is november 2nd and I still haven't received the card. Anybody in the same situation? On november 6 it will be a month since we got approved but usually the GC cames right after the welcome notice. Not in our case though, It has been almost a month since the letter and no GC. Should I do somenthing?
