Just came back from my interview. The officer also asked for my lawyers permit # which he did not have with him, so the IO went to som website and downloaded it for him. This was something we were not prepared for, so please keep this in mind. was asked for all the documents from the begining of my stay in te US, F-1 visas, I20s, all H-1s, OPTs, EADs.

I was also asked for my SS card and University transcripts, which was not requested on the interview letter. I had carried it with me just in case and was lucky enough to have it with me.
The IO also asked for DE6 which we were not asked to bring with us, so he let it go. The interview started at 7:50 (scehduled at 8:00am) and lasted a full hour. The officer was very meticulous and made his own copies of every document (original) that I presented.
Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have. This forum has been a great place for me to voice my concerns and I wish everyone here all the very best!:)

so finaly its over.

One question just for curiosity, From where did you went ? sansome street or Washington street and which flr ?

Congratulations! So did you end up getting interviewed in the 2nd or 3rd floor? How was the IO? You said he was meticulous but was he nice overall? When he was questioning you, was he being a jerk?

Congrats !! wish me luck

glad to hear that your case was approved.

my interview is on 4/9 and I am missing copies of my wife's I94 from 2 years back. Also, my wife was asked to bring her W2's. Unfortunately she worked for dot coms which went bust without filing her W2's. Trying to get letter from IRS that no W2's were filed under her name. also, my company is in the quiet period before IPO and do not want to give their taxes etc. Also, we are the first employees in CA so company doesn't have DE6 reports at all. Also, my previous employer went belly up and didn't make 2 paychecks. The list goes on and on...

I will be going to the interview without several docs. I am taking a lawyer with me. Lawyer says he will make sure that I don't get denied and will ask for an extension. I am getting really anxious. I don't have control over things...what the hell can I do....

Wish me luck !

IS the BCIS website updated with your approval

I am curious to know if interviewed cases will also be updated on the website

Thanks all

Thanks everyone!
I had to go to the 2nd floor, because the 3 rd floor is under renovation.
The IO was not a jerk, really nice person.
My lawyer was surpirsed that the interview lasted a full hour, she thinks this was an audit case, she said most normal interviews don't go beyond 15 mins.

The IO also asked for DE6 which we ...
*********

What is a DE6. I am from TSC, is this a CSC thing?

Thanks,
bkd

DE 6

Per my understanding DE 6 is a payroll rpt that shows the income for each employee. They ask this doc for small companies that aren't listed on the stock exchange per the IO.

I took company income taxes

As was requested on the interview notice, I took the company income taxes for 2000 and 2001.
