Interview Descheduled

Hey All,

Please reply if you have had any experience with canceled interviews. I didn't receive any interview notice and all of a sudden when I checked for updates online it said that my interview was descheduled. I am thinking that this has something to do with address change. Recently, I move from Miami to Atlanta, hence I changed my address. I am thinking that they mailed my interview letter to my previous address and when I changed my address they decided to cancel that one and well now I have to wait for them to reschedule here in Atlanta.

Anyway, I have been following this forum and I see a lot of expert opinion of non-lawyers, or lawyers wannabes. I appreciate any reply.

Take care.

Yes, that is a possibility. When you moved, did you file AR-11 only or also called the customer service number and notified them to change your address on your application? If you did the later, you must have the acknowledgement from USCIS that you did notify them of the address change. You can take this proof to them and have them reopen you case and/or reschedule your interview. If you did not notify the customer service of your address change (remember AR-11 does not count), then you may have hard time getting them to reopen your case.
