Has anyone heard that after interview the case goes to supervisor desk for decision??? I was interviewed a month ago and I wasn't approved . I went to see immigration officer and they told me that my case is all clear(all security checks done) but it is waiting for decision from supervisor. And I asked how long does that take? Officer was like anywhere from 30 to 90 days.

Has anyone in this situation???

Please post your experience. I am going there again in two weeks. I will keep doing that, at least I can compare the answers I get from them and may be some IIO gets enough helpful to push my case.

Thanks

waiting for supervisor's decision too

I called the congressman to help me because my application (derivative)wasn't approved, and the primary's application was approved since aug.'04. The answer that I got back from him said that my application is still pending and a supervisor is working on it. It's been almost 30 days and I'm still waiting. I did not have any interview, but I believe it is a similar situation and it's probably taking the same time 30-90 days.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.

I am not 100% sure about this, but was once told that there is random auditing that goes on at the approval centers and those applications go to the supervisors and hence need additional time. I may be completely wrong, but that is my understanding. But I have never heard of it getting transfered to supervisors after interview!
Waiting!

supervisor!!

ali2672,

what did congress man say?

waiting!,

not sure. I am going to go meet IIO again in few weeks and see what they have to say abt it. And if they say the same thing, its fine, but if they give different answer, that means I am in some soup.

message for hgc

I made an inquiry about the status of my I485 application to sen.Levin (Michigan) on Oct.20'04. He forwarded to NSC and the answer that he got back was that my application is reviewed by a supervisor and I should hear from NSC in 30 days. Now, the 30 days passed and I did not get any answer from NSC. I don't know what to do. I made an InfoPass appointment for next week to meet with an immigration officer to inquire again about my case.
My 2FP date was on 08/13/04 and the primary's approval date was on 08/12/04. Another strange thing is that my husband got actually two approval letters: first one is dated Aug.12 (same date of approval was on e-mail) and the second one was dated Aug.16.
Good luck!!
