Interview date (case opened by NWD on Aug 14th)

Folks,

Need some advice, my wife's 824 case was opened by New Delhi consulate on Aug'14. Does anyone know approx. when should we expect an Interview date??

Also, the mail that I got from embassy said this a provisional case. Don't know what that means!!!!

I am in the same boat as you. My wifes 824 was recieved and file opened on aug 7 (1 week before you). A NDW number has been assigned.

I chatted with the consulate and they were pretty optimistic that it would be a october interview.

I concur with parora that it generally takes about 2.5-3 months to get the interview after consulates have touched the case. So mostly the interview would be in october 03 or latest november 03.

So if they recieved my papers in August, I should expect an interview in Oct/Nov.

What about the provisional case???
