Interview - Can't make decesion

Have any one had simmilar experience like me. I had Interview yesterday in Arlington local INS office and officer told me that he can not make any decesion now and will inform later. I had one small case on my file, officer told that he does not think that will be problem. Have any one had this experience. Please help...

What kind of case? is it about some kind of dui/dwi as I hear that kind od police arrests can pose a problem. Here in New Orleans I have been waiting for the oath ceremony from the day I passed the exam on 02/28/2002 fro 7 months.
 
What do you mean 'one small case on file' ? Did he request for more documents ?

It might be worthwhile to find out if others interviewd around the same time have gotten a call for swearing-in in your local office ?

Is that Arlington, Texas ?

My local INS is Arlington VA, It was misdemeanor case, I had a lawyer and he also said that will not be problem. Even officer said he can not make decision but this will not be problem. I just had interview yesterday, I was wondering how long it takes them to make decision if someone have knowledge or had similar experience.
