Interview Cancelled

I got an update today that "The interview scheduled in this case has been canceled. You will be notified if the interview is rescheduled."

I never even got an orignal interview letter.
When I called the NSC they said that it looks like my file is still at the Service Center, and that they don't schedule interviews.

When I checked the status of my case in December 2004 they said that the file was still at the Service center and that I should write to them to have it sent to New York. I got no response from them. Then today I see this.

Is anyone familiar with this situation?

This is for I-485.
Date Filed: 9/12/03.

I've gotten work permits and supposed to have interview this year. No other notice has been sent to me, except to do fingerprints within 87days of 2/26/05. I did the fingerprints on 4/15/05. The update was posted on 4/18/05
