interview canceled

Hey guys!


I need some help !!
I was supposed to have my interview on February 28,2007 at Mount Laurel in NJ but today I received in a mail a notice saying that my interview was canceled DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES.
Does anyone know what is this?
Did it happened to anyone else?
Please let me know,

Most likely, it involves the Immigration Officer. Maybe for personal reasons or whatever. They have a life too. It has nothing to do with you or your case so don't worry about.

Also, a lot of people have went to interview anyway, like they didn't get a notice and everything worked out for them. There are some posts on this forum of that having happened and they went anyway and got the interview. If it isn't too inconvienent for you, I would go anyway. Play dumb and see. :p
 
we received the similar notice, but in our case we requested for reschedule due to the international travel. Check my signature.
 
Monica, did you receive a notice via snail mail ( I mean a paper notice) or was it just an email notice or change of online status?
Because that makes a big difference.

If it's just an email that disregard it and go to your interview as scheduled.
If you received a paper notice then unfortunately you'll have to wait until they reschedule your interview and send you a new interview notice.

Hi:

If I were you, I would attend anyway. (unless it is extremely inconvenient) I have seen many cases where the interview was held anyway when the couple showed up. If you live close, it may be worth it. Best wishes.
 
Why my interview is not rescheduled yet ?

Hello everyone !

It's been almost 3 weeks since my interview was canceled (via a notice received in the mailbox) and I haven't received yet any letter.
I knew it was too good to be truth -because everything happened so fast- (check timeline) and I'm wondering why the interview is not rescheduled ??
How long does it usually take to be rescheduled ?
Did they make a mistake and scheduled us too early??

9/12/2006 Married to USC.
9/26/2006 Package mailed to Chicago.
10/06/2006 Petitions recieved.
10/23/2006 Fingerprints in Newark,NJ.
10/29/2006 Interview notice recieved. (2/28/2007 Mount Laurel, NJ)
1/08/2007 EAD card recieved in the mail.
1/27/2007 Interview canceled. (notice recieved in the mail)
 
We also got a notice of interview descheduling (via email.. NO PAPER notice in the US Mail). We went to the interview anyway on Wednesday and nothing was mentioned about the "Descheduling". The case was approved. Unless you have actually received a LETTER in the US Mail, go to the interview. Will post more about my interview experience later.
