Few weeks back I had visited the local office using InfoPass as there was an issue with my online status not working (not recognizing my EAC#). The I/O looked at my case and told me that he has requested for my file from VSC and asked me to come after a month for the update. I couldn't really understand why he had requested for the file.
I just noticed this week that suddenly my case status has started working. However, this the latest status that shows up for my case -
"we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our local office....)"
It appears that people have waited for months to get the interview notice. So in my case should I wait till I get the actual interview notice or based on last visit and talk with I/O, just go there after a month?
Also, when I look at the postings by some other members, it seems that transferring to local service center has expedited the processing and has often resulted in approval.
My main issue was online status not recognizing my case# and now it seems to be working. So what do I expect during this interview?
