Hi,
Does any body have idea how are the interviews for visitor visa at delhi consulate? Does anybody got visitor visa from delhi recently? My parents have appointment on Dec 29.
One more curious question, i m confused what should my parents say for the purpose of trip?.In truth , its social and tourism, but is it possible to convince the visa officer with this, when there would be winters here and US covered with snow uptill march/april? They have interview on 29th Dec.

Will appreciate any ideas???

Purpose of visit

Nilu123, I don't know about the interviews at the US embassy in new delhi, but 'Tourism and visiting with son/daughter' is the best answer for the 'Purpose of the visit' question. Draw up an itinerary with visits to California and Florida in the months of Jan, Feb, and March. Your parents can show the itinerary to the interviewing office in case the officer raises the prospect of cold weather.
 
Got the Visitor Visa.

Hi folks,
Thanks to the people writing here. :) My parents got the Visitor Visa from Delhi Consulate. There was not much trouble and the officer didnt see any documents except I-134. He asked these general questions like :

1. who is living in US?
2. How much time they are living in US?
3. Where is he working?
4. is he married?
5. How is daughter in law feeling in US?
6. Where is your other son working?
7. What are u doing?
Every thing was smooth and they spent 10-15 mins for the interview. My advice is send the documents properly, ask your parents to review them, and face the interview confidently.
