Hi,
Does any one know about the time it takes to get the Interview Date, from the date NVC has sent the Documents to Mumbai Consulate.
My Douments were sent on 4th Feb. 2004 and wondering how long it will take to get the date. OR is there any way we can obtain interview in advance.

Appreciate any help on this.

parekhalpa:

It takes about 2.5 months to get an interview after Packet 3 is received by a consulate from NVC. So you can expect a April interview!

You can get a time estimate from others cases from http://www.cptracker.com

thanks
I am onH4 visa. NVC sent our document to bombay consulate on jan4 I am cosern about one thing ,my mother's name is different in BC and in my passport. do I have to make affidavid for it???

parekhalpa:

The fact that you are on H4 means that you are a derivative candidate and your spouse is the primary.

Is you spouse accompanying you for the cp interview or your spouse already has a GC?

The issue that may arise as far as difference in mother's name in your passport vs your BC depends on what kind of a difference it is! If your mothers name is really Kristie one one document and Kristy on another then it is not an issue. But if it is Christina on one and KAmala on the other then yes you will definitely to carry affidavits.

Either ways instead of taking much advice i would carry affidavits just to be safe than sorry ... although i personally do not think they ever bother to read th details on ds 230 part 1 as such.

kd1403,
Thanks for the reply. My Husband is Primary and the diffrence in the name on the passport and BC is very minor like Jyotsna and Jyotshana.
But I think as you said it is not a problem right? However as u recommend what should be there on the affidavit?

Thanks for the help.
