Interview and oath ceremony

I just received my notice for the interview (beginning of Feb 2005). My local service center is San Francisco. I have a couple of questions regarding the process and timing and would appreciate anyone's input.

1. Will the name and fingerprint checking be completed by the time of the interview. Is there a website/phone number to check the status?

2. Assuming that all checks are completed by the time of the interview and the interview goes well, how long does it typically take to get the oath appointment (San Francisco, CA service center)?

3. Can I travel abroad between the interview and oath ceremony?

If anyone has recently gone through the interview process in San Francisco, I would be very interested to hear what your experience was like. Thanks. :)

Hi:
I am not from the S-F area, but i have finished my process.
1. The name check may not be completed, but let's hope that yours is :) Mine was not. I waited another 4 months before getting my oath letter.
I requested the name check info with FBI but still got no response. It's worth it trying though...i heard they are backlogged...
2. No comment (I am not from the area)
3. Of course you can travel! In your oath letter they will ask you if you travelled between the interview and oath and you just have to answer "yes" or "no", and if "yes, mention the countries you went to and how long you stayed there - that's all. Very simple and absolutely nothing to worry about.
Good luck,

Fingerprint usually gets clear within a week. For namecheck/numbers and other detail, you can refer to thread started under "my name check experience" and it has all the detail.

What was your priority date (i.e approx. application filing date with)
