Interview and approval

Yesterday I had the interview at the Buffalo district office, and after the interview I and my wife got approved and our passports were stamped. The immigration examiner said we would receive the cards in 4-6 weeks. The documents required were employment letter and pay stubs for the last two months. The interview lasted about fifteen minutes and adressed routine questions about employment, and some of the questions on the last page of the I-485 application (about membership in terrorist organization, drugs, and such like). It's been a long and rough journey. Thank you everyone and good luck.

I thought they usually promise the GC in 6-12 months. Never heard about 6-8 weeks. Are you sure? Which center did you go to?

Thank you very much guys for your wishes. I've updated rupnet. As for how long it takes to receive the actual card, I am positive, the immigration examiner said I would get it in 4-6 weeks. However, that is no longer an issue now I have the I-551 stamp valid for one year.
Good luck to all.
