Interim EAD

Hi

I need your help to let me know the procedure for getting interim EAD.

I have applied for regular EAD and have not yet rec'd it. Within a few days 90 days wait will be over and will need to get interim EAD. If anyone of you have experienced getting an interim EAD from Houston or other office , please let me know.

Some questions for which I am looking for answers. How should I approach it and how long will the EAD be issued. What will happen to my original application.

i have taken interim EAD twice. Bring your 485 notice, EAD receipt and a new application. it is fast. they will give you the card for 6-9 months. in the meantime you might get the original card you applied for.
