Interim EAD

Recently my EAD was expired and I've applied for renewal. I've also received the Receipt number for the renewal application.

I would like to know if I can apply for an Interim EAD at a local INS office. Is there a time period that I've to wait after receiving the receipt?

Please let me know your experiences about this subject.

Thanks very much.

I was thinking I can apply for Interim EAD as soon as I receive the receipt.

As you suggested I'll wait for the EAD and if it doesn't come in 90 days, I'll go for the Interim EAD.
