interim EAD

I applied my 3rd EAD in Oct and haven't heard anything yet. My current EAD is expiring in 3 weeks and most likely I have to go to local office to get an interim card. What do I need to bring to the office? photos?

They would take photos there- may depend on the center. Just take copy of your application, receipt and your 485 receipt, past EAD copy etc. I think you need to pay again- you can negotiate for waiver- depends on center/officer.

I need to know why do we need to get interim EAD? My lawyer says that I can continue working while my EAD renewal application is with USCIS, even if my current EAD expires.
