I have applied for an EAD extension. If my extension is not adjudicated before my current EAD expires, should I:
a) wait until after my current EAD expires to go to the local INS office to apply for an interim EAD?
or
b) Should I apply for the interim EAD a few days before my current EAD expires.
Since my current driver's liscence expires on the same day that my current EAD expires, I would think it would be wise to apply for the interim EAD a few days before the expiration of the current one, so that I have enough time to get a new drivers liscence also. But will the local Miami office issue the iEAD a few days early?
The current EAD expires on a Sunday, so I can't go get the iEAD and the drivers liscence on the day that the current EAD expires. And if I wait until Monday, I can't legally drive myself to the INS office.
