Interim EAD from NSC

My current EAD will expire soon. The local office told me that they can send an email to NSC one week before my EAD expires and request them to issue an interim EAD . Does anyone receive an interim EAD from Service Center before? How long did it take Service Center to issue an interim EAD?

My EAD expired before the new one came through. This was also before the 90 day processing period had expired. My local office told me that there is nothing they can do before the 90 days runs out.

Have you applied for the renewal EAD? If so, what is your receipt date? If you are before the 90 days then you are the first person I have heard of who has been offered an interim EAD.

It is a 3rd time renewal. The RD is 11/11/2006. The local office told me that I need to go to the local office one week before 2/11/07, and they will send an email to NSC then. When I ask how soon I can get the interim card from NSC, they said they don't know.
