Interim EAD for RFE..

we know that if there is an RFE for an EAD application, USCIS local office count 90 days from RFE response recd date and not from original receipt date..
My EAD had expired and EAD renewal was 90days over and stuck in this situation.. I had an attorney fighting to get this but no luck..
Finally a letter from emplyer saying that they will terminate in case of EAD not being renewed, convined the Dallas USCIS office to issue Interim EAD and am back in Business now..
 
qa3..as far as i know..you cannot work on Receipt Notice.
(EAD rules are different from H1B).

It is atleast OK(not sure if it is legal) to work if it is approved and didn't receive the card.

Iam planning to go to office on 05/18(>90 days) and get my iEAD.But my EAD is expiring on 05/14.is it ok if i work 4 days with out EAD.
