o Arrived at J.F.K Federal Bldg at 10:00 AM - pretty long line in front of the main entrance.

o Passed security desk at 10:30 AM

o Had a coffee at 10:40 AM

o Entered Rm E160 at 11:00 AM: showed a woman at the entrance a copy of:
--- 3rd I-765 receipt notice
--- I-485 receipt notice
--- I-140 approval notice
--- 3rd I-765 application form
She asked me to sign on the copy of 3rd I-765 application form (next to my original signature) and gave me a ticket w/ a number on it.

o My turn around 12:30 PM. Showed an officer:
--- copy of 3rd I-765 receipt notice
--- copy of I-485 receipt notice
--- copy of I-140 approval notice
--- copy of 3rd I-765 application form
--- Passport
--- DL
--- Current EAD

She took each document copy and current EAD, and stapled them together, gave them to me and asked me to go to the small room w/ blue door, pass the docs to an office in there, and get an interim EAD.

Went to the room, gave docs to an officer, who called me in a minute, asked for.. my Massachusetts DL, took a pic, waited for another couple of minutes, called me again, and gave me an interim EAD which is good till October 2004. BTW, She said they would keep my current EAD... I thought they usually returned it.

o Went out of the building around 1:00 PM.

o Payed $25 for parking.

o Went to work.

Officers were very friendly and the process..... went through smoothly, and much quicker than I expected.
