Hello,
Would anyone please share his/her experience at
Dallas INS office for iEAD.
My main ques are
a) Is it the same on 8101 North Stemmons Freeway
b) Any particular day to go (or NOT to go)
c) What time I should be there
d) Apart from I485/I765 receipt what all document
I should take (photographs etc?)
e) How long it takes...

I am not able to get the above information from INS site or thru phone. So greatly appreciate your help.

Looking for similar info

I too require the same information. How did you go about this, please share.

1) Do they require a new application (765) to be filed for Interim EAD.
2) How about photographs?

Thanks.

Hello
well here you have it straight from horses mouth :-)
I applied for EAD in Dallas back in december 02
3 months went by and nothing happened so I decided to apply for interim EAD.
Not to indulge in details (I had to go twice and it turned out for some reason they did not even START working on my application) here are some facts:
1.Yes I went to 8101 North Stemmons Freeway
2.You can go any day except wednesday I think (wed is appoitment only)
3.The earlier the better. I went at 4am twice. By that time there is quite a lot of people waiting there already but it will get MUCH worse by 6-7 am
4.I only needed passport and receipt that had my 485, 765 filing date on it
5.it will be issued immidiately. They will take your picture, laminate it and off you go with you new EAD card! And by the way they didnt give out interim EADs but full 1 year EADs

You also need to fill out new i-765 so better fill one at home and bring it with you so you dont waste time there as I did :)

Same day I got my EAD (3/18) I applied for SSN and I am still waiting after over 5 weeks :(
