Interim EAD card expires, "Real" EAD not received, how to renew

Guys,

I and my wife hold an interim EAD card from SF.
which expires on 11/30/01.

Suppose I don\'t get the "real" EAD cards by 11/30/01.

Can I go into SF INS office in late November and
get new interim cards?

Unfortunately INS is taking a long time to issue
EAD cards and SF is only issuing interim cards for 3 months
