Hi all. Here is a question. Are interim EAD's still available at a local office after 90 days after receiving 485 Notice of Action/ 485 received?

Thanks for any input.

Here is what I got from the I-765 form guideline:
Interim EAD: an EAD issued to an eligible applicant whenUSCIS has failed to adjudicate an application within 90 days of receipt of a properly filed EAD application or within 30 days of a properly filed initial EAD application based on an asylum application filed on or after January 4, 1995. The interim EAD will be granted for a period not to exceed 240 days and is subject to the conditions noted on the document.

Thanks Manwithnoname, word on the forum has been that NO MORE interim EAD's are being issued at local offices. Apparently these offices have been instructed to not issue interim EAD's anymore. I was wondering if this is written in stone or if there has been a change for the better. I was aware of the EAD policy on the Form 485 Application.
Has anyone received an Interim EAD recently..???

You are right - they discontinued the practice of immediately issuing interim EADs at USCIS centers. What they tell you to do instead is to make an appointment and go, and they will send a request on your behalf to the service center processing your case to either expedite the EAD or send you an interim EAD. It's really fuzzy, like a lot of their other so-called policies.
