Hi Guys,
I live in San Jose. My company is based in East coast. I filed for my AP renewal with a ND of 8/1/2003. It has been almost 6 months and its still not approved.

I am planning to go to India (3rd attempt) in feb 6th and would like not to cancel my tickets.

Can someone please suggest how can I get an interim AP? Has anyone done that in bay area? I can go to San Francisco or San Jose office.

Please advise and thanks for all the help.
 
I never heard of any such thing like interim AP. Probably you can try for Emergency AP but then again you need to show a valid reason for EAP. Use search function to search on 'emergency advance parole'. All the best.
 
According to the current approval trend on AP, you are very likely to get approved by then. Keep your fingers crossed or you can call up IIOs to find a status on your application.

i got my EAP approved recently. you need a Medical Emergency to get your Emergency AP approved. along with all the reuqired papers(the list you can get if you do a search on Emergency advance parole) i presented the latter from my father's Doctor, advising that my father need a surgery ASAP. a diagnosis from the Lab and my father's birth certificate. looks like above 3 docs are must nowdays.
the whole process exp. was not that bad if you take out the wait time and waiting pain, i talked to 3 IIO's in the process and all 3 were very nice.

BTW there was one more Indian guy who got the EAD with me same day.
