I don't know whether there is such thing as Interim AP.

Can any one post their details if they tried to obtain it.
My mother passed away last year. I could not go. I had valid AP then.

I want to go for the 1 year death anniversary.

I applied for AP in July 15,2003.

thanks!

There is no Interim AP, but District Offices can issue an "emergency" AP at their discretion in a life/death situation.

You will need to have compelling supporting documents (doctors report) that a very close relative is in critical medical condition (dying), as well as proof of the relationship.

Even if you provide all of the above it is very much up to the Immigration Officer to decide if your need to travel is a real emergency.

In your case there is no longer an emergency, just a common sense good will need.

There is no harm trying, you might find a compassionate soul willing to help you.

Good luck!

Take all needed documents for a normal AP application:

- copy of I-485 receipt
- copy of I-140 approval notice
- copy of last I-94 (front and back)
- 2 photos
- passport
- check or money order for $110
- filled form I-131 (there is a new version of the from dated 9/19/03, which must be used - it is available on the USCIS website in pdf format)

in your case you will also need:

- copy of death certificate to prove relationship
