What if I do not get advance parole approved even after the processing time.
Is it a possibilty to get it in local INS office like as EAD-interim. Thanks in advance. If I can what is the procedure to do it. Thanks all of you.

There is no 'interim' AP like iEAD. You could apply for an emergency AP at the local office siting "emergency" reasons. Its very hard to obtain an such an AP unless you have real "emergency" reasons.

Thanks a lot. What could be the real emergencies? Can self or some bdy's marriage be an emergency.

Your own marriage? Probably yes (depends on the office/officer) . If you can convince that it's impossible to call off or postphone the date, because of religious, social reason etc etc etc (keep in mind that the officer may view this marriage from western point of view - if it is not in this Saturday why not postpone to next Saturday, or next to next Saturday, or when your AP gets approved).

Somebody else's marriage? I don't think so.

You also need to show that this is an emergent situation. That is, why the situation is not a result of poor planning and not applying for AP sooner.

Don't count on this - they use a very high standard of the definition of an "emergency" for this purpose, unfortunately.

If the AP is well past the processing time, try following up the application as well, through congressman, explaining the situation you are in. Maybe they will decide your plight is bad enough and follow up with the service center.

I think this person ("rtinkam") said that his/her case is not "approved even after processing date". So I assume it's more than 60 days. If someone applies more than 60 days ahead I would not call it poor planning.

I agree completely that it is unreasonable to expect somebody to plan more into future than this. Nevertheless, the better rtinkam can argue that this is an emergent situation, more likely of getting a serious look by the director, as USCIS appears to use unreasonable standards for what is an acceptable waiting time.

I applied for AP renewal in Nov, 2004 and haven't heard anything yet. Few weeks ago I needed to travel to Europe on business trip. I went to Newark office to get emergency advance parole. I took a letter from my company and all docs but they did not issue me the AP. I have been told to mail it to them and then they will mail back with answer! The officer was rude and did not let me ask her any questions. I had to cancel the trip.
