Interfiling I-485 after EB3 number retrogression.

I was on my way to file and process my CP application, when the number retrogression hit me. So i had to change my application from CP to I-485. I filed I-485 before the Dec. 31st deadline. Is it possible for me to interfile my wife's I-485 now ? What is the law in this case ?

I am also in the same situation. Can anybody help us.
Is it possible to apply I-485 now for my wife, if I already got EAD( mine was EB3 and PD is Jan 2nd 2004)
