Interesting question someone asked me| When does GC start

Does our GC start immediately on a successful interview OR does it start after we enter the US?
Eg. say my interview is on Feb 15, and it is succesful. Say, I donot enter the US till July 15 (after 5 months). When does my gc start? The reason for this is - will this be counted as a non-intention on my part to be in the US or is this perfectly fine, and I can use legally
 
this is perfectly legal.we are PR from the moment we enter the POE and not the

CP date.Even in the plastic card they are mentioning the start date as the DOE.I think if it is employment based case better to enter US ASAP otherwise the INS officer may ask for proof that the offered job is still avalable when you enter after 5 months.Delayed entry for family cases may be ok.B\'coz the Immigration visa issued by the consulate is purely based on the underlying job offer.

What you get after successful interveiw is an Immigrant Visa (IV)
When you enter US that is when your PR status starts

Also be aware, as joe pointed, You might raise suspicion if you use your IV after loooooooong time as it is employment based.
