Gurus,
Just a hypothetical question. Since we are stuck in retrogression (india, china, mexico). If during this retrogression period, if we become citizen of some other country, can we stay on the same 485 application & come out of retrogression since our citizenship changed??

I am Indian citizen & also became canadian immigrant long time ago. Now if i somehow get my canadian citizenship & still want to process my Green card, can I come out of retrogression since now my coutry of citizenship is changed OR i'll have to start my 485 all over again (which I don't think becoz my 485 is work based & not country based)..

Any suggestions???

nope, for 485 your birth country matters, if you were born in India you are stuck, even if you are citizen of some other country now.
