Now the qestion can i start the process even though i havent completed my residency. I will be working with him after the residency. Is it possible and if yes what are pros and cons of it. And how long will i have to work with him.
And Am i bound to work with him for how long.

your input will be highly appreciated. Thankyou very much

You can start the green card process as it is not dependent on your current immigration status. You should note that the green card application does not give you legal status until you file the Adjustment of Status (I-485) application, which may happen only after your Labor Certification is approved and your I-140 is filed. In other words, you will need to work for the doctor- employer until 6 months after the I-485 application is filed and at the time when the I-485 application is approved (unless you use portability under AC21 and work for another employer in the same occupation).

The green card application process is quite complicated and I would suggest that you read more about it on this forum or go to this website: www.murthy.com. In addition, a very affordable way to consult an immigration attorney is by using the family legal plan on www.bestimmigrationlawyers.com (the consultations are unlimited and you also get some legal documents reviewed for a low monthly fee). For my I-485 application, for example, the consultations were sufficient for me to prepare and file all forms so I did not need to hire an attorney. Good luck

Thank you very much for your input. I would definitely check the websites you provided. Now what if i got my i140 approved before finishing my residency and i am still doing my residency . can i apply for I 485 what will be the senario at that time.

for labor certification(If you are not NIW/EB1) you will need to have unrestricted state medical license.
