Interesting Info Regarding FP

Just spoke with CIS customer service. As expected, I was given the standard reply "CSC is processing cases received upto Jan 9, no expected timeframe for any case beyond that".

My fp is over 15 months old. So, I asked when can I expect re-FP notice and she told me that FP generally expires in 15 months but re-FP is not necessary if the officer processing your case is OK with it.

My guess is that IIO makes the decision based on other security clearance data. If he sees no security threat he might let it go. Because most people do get re-FP notice, I would say, the IIOs do not want to take the chance of getting kicked in the ass if the petitioner later gets into a plane and.... (you got the point).

mine : April 2002 case (wac-02-168)
