interesting feedback re 8/15 LUD

Hi Friends,

I had an infopass appointment today in San Jose office. Basically I wanted to check if my NC was still pending or not. The officer there told me that my case has been "pre-adjudicated" and is "under review" now. Interestingly, he said the "pre-adjudication" happened on 8/15, which was the massive LUD in CSC. He said that this is good news as the case is being reviewed.

I specifically asked about NC, but he did not give explicit answer, he just said that it "could be cleared".

I am not too sure how true he statement is, so I will be waiting for the feedback from my lawyer's inquiry and feedback from senators.

Anyone has similar experience or information from CSC?

Interesting.

Is your PD current now? My case is EB3, China in CSC with PD 4/2002.
If you are right, probably we will see notices in the near future.

In my feeling, when the USCIS gives a response that one case's

name checking is still pending, it probably even does not begin to do the name checking.
My I-485 was filed in last June and I did the FP shortly after the filing date. I called CSC 3 times. Each time I got a different answer about the name checking. The first one is my name checking is cleared. The second one is that it is still open. The third one is they did not start to do the name checking.
So do not worry about the name checking until your PD is current. USCIS may begin to do the name checking when they begin to process your case.
 
I just got a letter from our senator that my name check has been cleared recently. I also got LUD on 8/15 and 8/16.
 
My case is in TSC (trnasferred from CSC) and TSC don't have massive LUD on 8/15 and 8/16. However, I did receive call on 8/16 from local congressman office that both my and my wife's name check was cleared (when I check in July, they were still pending). Is it possible that FBI just complete a large batch of name checks around 8/15 and dump back to CSC?

Congratulations ! Getting stuck in NC is no fun!
 
I have requested senators (both) to send inquiry to FBI and CIS. I recently also asked my lawyer to do so (CSC stopped email inquiry service). Hopefully I can get some upate in a few weeks. I probably will try to schedule another infopass appointment by the end of Sept to see if the message is consistent.
 
I had LUDs on 8/15 and 8/16 and yesterday I was informed that my name check is pending. So no connection with mass LUDs
