Interesting Email from USCIS

My case was approved at the local office last month, I'm still waiting for the card. I received the following message from CIS, it seems that it will take them another 7 years to produce the card for me!

On April 27, 2006, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

hah ha , oh my. I think all these recent system malfunctions messed up their system. Another poster had a similar situation. He was requested RFI months ago and he sent it and got an email from USCIS confirming their receipt. Then recently he received another email saying they just received his send.

I hope it's a mistake, otherwise, I will have to wait for my green cad for another "600 days!" I think they probably received the request from the local office to produce my card. But you never know!

The message is the one that is sent to those who just sent their I-485; it says that they just received your I-485 application. How ridiculous is that?! So of course it is a mistake, since not only have you long ago applied for I-485 but you are saying that you are already approved the change of status. You can call them and let them know that you received this email message that makes no sense; and they will probably say "oh, we are sorry. We will look into the problem" or something along those lines.

Thanks! I just called them and told them that I was already approved and the email made no sense to me. The lady asked me to read the approval stamp in my travel document for her, which I did not have with me at work! I will have to call them back tomorrow. They never cease to impress me!

My case was transferred to the local office and they scheduled an interview for me.

why am i not surprised with the comp problem.

coz "online" it still state that .. "u will get welcome notice blalblab" .. while I already get my gc. they didn't update the website. even until today. oh well ..

I hope it means that they have produced and mailed my gc. I will be leaving the country for at least a year next week and it will be good to get card prior to my departure.
