Intent to Deny Question

Recently there have been a couple of postings about "intent to deny" based on the following grounds

* person went for H1B stamp to Canada and got REJECTED
* came back to US on H1B papers (passport was not stamped because stay was less than 30 days)
* filed I-485 and got "intent to deny" notice based on "out of status" grounds.

My situation is as follows:
* went to Canada for H1B Visa on 10/22/99(GOT APPROVED)
* came back to US on 10/24/99 (passport was not stamped at the port of entry because stay was less than 30 days)
* filed I - 485 in May 2000.

Will I get an "intent to deny" since I do not have a stamp on my passport
for the return to US from Canada?

Anybody else in/was in similar situation (got RFE or apporoval)?

Thanks in advance!
