Ins?

I have read many many messages here with references to the INS. Why do you all insist on still calling it that? The agency hasn't been called INS since early 2003. This means that for the vast majority of people here, when you started the AOS process it was no longer called INS.

So what gives? Why still the old name? Do you not know the new name or is it reluctance to change mindsets?

calm down buddy, it's not that big of a deal. Actually, some people working at USCIS still call it INS, causing confusion. And when I made an appointment for my medical exam, the lady had no clue what I was talking about when I said I needed an appointment for my USCIS medical exam. After a while she said, oh you mean INS?

The two names mean exactly the same. Changes always take their time. Have patience, you need it in this process!! :D

I'm very calm. It was an innocent question. I think it is because INS is easier to say that USCIS, meanin it is a laziness issue not a remembering the name change issue.

No if you'll excuse me, I have a flight to catch to New Amsterdam.
